Global Snapshot: Japan Purchases 61,000 Tons of Foreign Rice in Tender

Japan bought 61,000 metric tons of rice in a tender today, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Of the total, the government bought 12,000 tons from the U.S., 49,000 tons and from Thailand, the ministry said in a statement.
